David José David M. José was educated at the University of Toronto (B.A. in Commerce and Economics, 1989) and the University of Western Ontario (LL.B. with concentration in Taxation, 1993). David was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1995. In 2004, David became a partner of O’Donnell, Robertson & Sanfilippo. His litigation practice has encompassed a wide range of insurance, corporate and commercial cases.

• Insurance defence litigation, including defence of professionals such as insurance brokers, real estate brokers and solicitors.
• Defence counsel in claims against directors and officers of corporations.
• Defence counsel in personal injury claims.
• Defence counsel in defamation claims.
• Appeared as counsel at all levels of Ontario Courts and the Federal Court of Canada.
• Extensive experience in all forms of alternative dispute resolution – including arbitration hearings, both statutory and privately appointed arbitrators as well as mediation.
